Listen Invite

This Sunday:

August Mission Project:

On Sunday, August 24, The Pointe will partner with a special ministry of Albany First United Methodist Church called “Sunday Night Supper With Our Neighbors.”  We will prepare and serve a hot meal to those who live in our community, those with limited resources, and the homeless.  This will be an evening of fun, fellowship, and encouragement, with worship and a message.  There are many ways that you, your family, and your Small Group can get involved to make a difference!  We will handle shopping for the food, preparing the meals, setting up the tables and chairs, serving the meal, and cleaning up after the event.  If you would like more information or would like to sign up to help, please contact Jay Barcus, Director of Missions at jay@thepointega.com or 435-5551.

Matthew 22:37-39 – You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important; you must love your neighbor as yourself.

Report on April Mission Project:

About Magnolia Manor:

In the late 1950s, the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church commissioned an internal study on the needs of the elderly in South Georgia . The study identified the need for safe, secure housing along with long-term care for the elderly. Magnolia Manor evolved from the South Georgia Methodists' commitment to establish a ministry to address these needs. Magnolia Manor's family includes over 1,200 employees dedicated to this United Methodist Ministry for Older Adults.
