Kidstuf - FAQs

What is Kidstuf?

KidStuf is the place where kids bring their parents to learn! It is a 35-minute, fun, interactive, multi-media production.  The monthly virtue is revealed during each production and is what the entire show is centered around.

Who should attend?

KidStuf is designed specifically for kids (kindergarten through 5th grade) AND their parents.  No dropoffs allowed!  We believe all kids, beginning at newborn, worship at KidStuf!  The children's hallway closes at 10:15 a.m. after check-out and reopens at 10:45 a.m. for 2nd Service check-in, on KidStuf Sundays.  At this time, there is no childcare during KidStuf.

Where is KidStuf?

KidStuf Live is in Theatre 9 at the Wynnsong Carmike Theatres on Ledo Road.  We also offer "KidStuf Live On Screen" in Theatre 10 for those that prefer.  This is recommended for those with smaller children that may be overwhelmed by loud noise levels.

When is KidStuf?

KidStuf happens on the first Sunday of each month in Theater 10 at Wynnsong Carmike Theater.  It begins at 10:15 a.m., in between regular Sunday services.  So be sure to show up early and get a good seat!

Why does KidStuf exist?

KidStuf exists to partner with parents. We believe that parents are ultimately responsible for the spiritual development of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). We also recognize that parents have a whole lot more time with their kids than anyone at church. In fact, each year, kids spend about 3,000 hours with their parents versus the 40 or so that they will spend attending church on Sunday. As a result, no one has more influence over a child than his or her parents. Because of this, we believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. We believe that it is our role to partner with parents by providing a plan that will give them the tools they need to lead their kids spiritually. This plan is launched at KidStuf on the first Sunday of the month. During the rest of the month, it continues with all of our children's ministries in Discovery Pointe on Sunday mornings.

What is the monthly virtue?

It's something that every parent wants their kid to learn. We would like to say that we came up with these virtues first, but actually, they are God's virtues, such as self- control, honesty, patience, and gratitude. There is a different virtue each month that is the over-riding theme in KidStuf and Discovery Pointe. Every element of KidStuf and Discovery Pointe is centered on the virtue, which is revealed at the beginning of KidStuf!  This allows parents to know what their child is learning for that entire month in Discovery Pointe.
