Anna married her high school sweetheart, Keith Miller, in 1988 and they have one wonderful son Marcus. She was born and raised in Albany and moved away just long enough to get her B.B.A in Finance from Valdosta State University. Once thinking she wanted to sell real estate, she obtained her real estate license and she and her two sisters, Debbie and Kristi, now have a small real estate investment business. She worked in the business world in accounting for 11 years and taught Algebra and Money Management at Westover High for one year before she came to The Pointe.

Anna Loves The Pointe and Christ is her Passion!

Anyone who knows her knows there are only two things she likes to get up early for, Disney World and Jesus at The Pointe! What was once a struggle to get to a 10:00am Sunday school class on time, is now pure joy to arrive at The Pointe at 7:30am to help set up and see what God is doing in this church.

Anna’s Call into Ministry
God “disturbed” Anna in the summer of 2004. She became discontent and lost motivation with the position she had with a company she worked with, so she decided to resign. She did not truly understand why she felt led to leave when the company was Christ-centered, paid very well and the staff were mostly Christians and a pure pleasure to work with, but she knew it was something she had to do. She spent the next year not working and spending an intense amount of time in personal bible study, prayer and service with the youth group, which Marcus was a part of. She went on a foreign mission trip, lead a ladies bible study for the first time, went on the Walk to Emmaus and overcame her extreme fear of flying. During this time she experienced tremendous spiritual growth and had her first yearnings to get a formal education in biblical studies.

Her personal ministry and vocation in ministry were starting to merge. She became restless in the traditional church she was a part of and in November of 2005 she started attending The Pointe. This was a place she could actively serve in ministry and feel God’s awesome power and purpose for her life. She now knows God released her from her employer of eight years to be available to serve in ministry with The Pointe.

Anna has been on staff with The Pointe since June of 2006. She has a passion for the direction of this church in reaching the lost in a most relevant and non-traditional way, which is a huge need in Southwest Georgia. She can see how God has prepared her for her current position through her previous work experience and spiritual preparation.

Anna is now responding to God’s call into full-time ministry by working on her Master of Arts degree in Theology at Asbury Theological Seminary and is currently in the process of becoming a deacon in full connection with the United Methodist Church.
